Indominus Rex was not a real dinosaur; it was a creation for a movie only. They wanted to make a huge dinosaur, so in the movie, they combined the DNA of various dinosaurs to make it, which in turn resulted in something that couldn’t be easily tamed. In the movie, it caused huge destruction, but it has made a separate fanbase in the hearts of dinosaur lovers as a strong and worthy opponent to Giganotosaurus. Since Indominus Rex can outgrow in size and was more violent, it stands out.
